What is new with the T28?
Everything. The T28 is based on a new platform, it is the smallest phone ever manufactured by Ericsson and one of the smallest GSM-phones on the market. The design, the hardware/software and the accessories are completely new.

  What are the talk and standby times?
Talk time is estimated at up to 4,5 hours and there will be a standby time of up to 200 hours.

  What is the weight?
90 grams including battery.

  What is Extended GSM (e-GSM)?
Extended GSM is a new frequency band being allocated to some network operators as a part of a licence agreement. The T28 is one of the first mobile phones that supports e-GSM.

  Why have you used Lithium Polymer batteries?
This technology makes it possible to produce very small batteries with good performance. It would have been impossible to make the T28 so small without the new battery technology.

  Is the T28 year 2000 compliant?
Yes, all Ericsson phones are year 2000-compliant.

  Why is the Menu system different than older models?
We saw that some improvements to the ease-of-use could not be made without reshaping the foundation on which the menu system works. We also wanted to create a more modern look-and-feel to go in line with the exterior design of the T28s.

  Can I close the flip without dropping the call?
Yes, when the handsfree kit is connected, or by pushing the slider while closing the flip.

  What is “Profiles”?
A way to quickly adapt the phone to daily situations. For example, setting the phone to "Meeting" profile changes silences the phone and switches on the vibrating signal. Each profile can be adjusted to suit your needs.

  What is “Stopwatch”?
A clock to measure elapsed time, for example if you want to measure the time it takes to jog around your regular track. (note that the clock is reset when you exit the function).

What is “Templates”?
Messages you send often can be put into Templates for quick retrieval and transmission.

  What is “Closed User Groups”?
It is a standardised GSM service, which allows a user to make arrangements with his operator so that he can belong to different closed groups (e.g. a company or the family), mainly for the purpose of cheaper calls within the group(s). The service is very rarely deployed in GSM networks.

  Is it possible to send multiple SMS at the same time?
Yes, by first defining Groups (menu inside Phonebook), a message can be sent to a group of people.

  Can I use my GF 768 or SH 888 accessories for the T28?
No, the T28 is based on a completely new platform of accessories that are not compatible with phones in the 200/300/600/700 and 800 series.

  Why is the flip designed with a spring flip function?
This is because the T 28 is designed with an Active Flip. A release button is placed on the right hand side of the phone. When the button is pushed the flip will be released and the phone automatically connects the incoming call.

  Will there be a Portable Handsfree for this product?
Yes, HPB-10 is a Portable Handsfree with answering button, it will keep your hands free while talking. The answering button lets you answer and finish calls without pressing any key on the phone.

  Which games are included?
Tetris and Solitaire.

  Is the T28 a dual band mobile phone?
Yes, it is a GSM 900/1800 dual band mobile phone.

  Can I have more than one Personal Ring signal on my T28?
Yes, you can create 4 different ring signals.

Will there be a Vehicle Handsfree for this product?
Yes, HCA-10 is an Advanced Car Handsfree with full duplex and automatic acoustic tuning. To further enhance traffic safety, it has built-in voice dialling function that lets you store and use up to 100 voice activated phonebook entries. It is also possible to use the voice answer and reject function of the phone in Handsfree mode.
